Access Granted

image To be honest with you guys, I was a bit fearful to start posting and discussing my outfits. Many people have told me I should blog about them, but I found it a bit narcissistic - not to mention, there are tons of really amazing style blogs all over the internet. Do we really need another one?

Then, suddenly, it dawned on me that many of the style blogs I have read felt a bit inaccessible. Almost - dare I say it - like fashion magazines. Don’t get me wrong, there are still tons of blogs that are very content rich. My absolute favorite bloggers are the ones I can relate to and there's always one for EVERYONE.

With the new direction of GSL, I hope to add to those accessible style blogs. I hope that when you see my personal fashion choices, you'll get to realize that my life is not about great outfits. I go through bad times just like everyone else does, and there are many days when I don't look like I do on the site. My hope is that, when you want a little inspiration, you can sign on to GSL and be inspired regardless of how much money is in your bank account, which brands are hanging in your closet, or any other personal setbacks you might be facing. Through it ALL, the GSL team is right there with you! I’m very excited about the ACCESS each of the GSL contributors will be providing through their own brand of style. Be sure to check out the team.

Now on the outfit…

Peplum Top: ASOS Pants: H&M Pumps: Forever21 Necklace: ASOS Bag: Oasap Coat: Modcloth

This peplum top and bag are two of my favorite things in my closet at the moment. When I purchased the top I didn't know the peplum was that dramatic and made with a different material from the rest of the top. It was a nice surprise when it arrived. I decided to pair them with some plaid pants and metallic heels for a chic look.

Believe it or not, it was very cold and raining right before I took these pictures. I decided to throw my coat over me for some of the shots. I absolutely love this coat. It was gifted to me last year and still going strong!

P.S. There is always at least one picture of me doing something weird with my mouth.

Hope you enjoyed.
