A Year of Gratitude

"Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend." ~Melody Beattie

I've learned that life will take you to inconceivable places, as long as you face it with grace and gratitude you'll come out better than you went in.

My minister recently said that there are no good years and bad years. The only thing that matters is who you are when faced with difficult circumstances. I couldn't agree more, every year is filled with highs and low it's who we are in those moments that define them.

Last night at our end of year celebration, a sister stood up to give her testimony. After losing her leg in a car accident 2014, she was still able to call it the best year of her life. Beautiful. There was not a dry eye in the room.

Gratitude is the secret to my happiness. It doesn't matter what I have or where I am in life, being grateful brings peace and contentment. Whenever I find myself slipping into any kind of sadness, I can immediately think of all the things I have to be grateful for and I immediately snap out of it.

In the above video, Linda and I share just a few of the things we have to be grateful for. Life is beautiful...

I look forward to another year of gratitude. Let's do this 2015.

Gratefully Yours, Nia
