A farewell to the Obamas: President Barack and Michelle's most inspiring speeches

On November 4th, 2008, Barack Hussein Obama was elected the 44th President of the United States and leader of the free world. For many Americans his election represented hope and a major milestone in fight for racial equality. To say that it has been inspiring to witness a black family move into the white house, would be an understatement. For the first time ever, Black Americans were able to experience life with a President and First Lady who looked like them. 

During his two terms, President Obama accomplished a great deal for this country, and we can only hope that more progress is made in the next four years. In 2010 over 30 million Americans were able to obtain health insurance under the Affordable Care Act, ended two wars, and lowered the unemployment rate amongst other successes. 

Perhaps one of the most important things both Barack and Michelle Obama have given this country is hope. For those of us who have big dreams, they have shown us that anything is possible and to always take the high road even when it isn't to easy to do so.
